Biography:

 

After receiving his PhD. from Syracuse University in 2000, Ron came to work at Stonehill College. A professor of media and cinema studies, he currently serves as Communication Department Chair, and is director of the Cinema Studies and Digital Media Production programs. Ron’s primary research area is media regulation. He has published scholarly works in Journal of Communication, Human Communication Research, Journal of Children and Media, and Music, Sound and the Moving Image, to name a few.

Episode Synopsis:

In the first episode, Professor Leone goes over what it means to major in communications, eventually highlighting additional minors or extracurriculars a student can take on in addition to this major. Jenna speaks briefly on her experience as a communications major and what she has been been able to do on campus to compliment what she has learned from this area of study. Before the episode comes to a close, Professor Leone talks about his background in film and how he views film as the way humans are able to connect with others.
